The International Chamber of Commerce is the world business organization that represents business interests. Was founded in Paris in 1919 and continues to have its headquarters in Paris.

Its basic purposes are to act in favor of a system of open trade and investment and create tools to facilitate it with the firm conviction that international economic relations lead to general prosperity and peace among nations.

CCI members are businesses involved in international transactions and business organizations , including many Chambers of Commerce. Today thousands of companies grouped from more than 130 countries and are organized as National Committees in over 90 of them .

Within its activity to develop tools to facilitate international trade and investment , include the International Court of Arbitration, the collection and updating of international commercial uses (Incoterms , Uniform Rules and Usages for Documentary Credits , etc. ) and the development of rules and codes of conduct on many aspects of international business.

The success of the beginning of 2011 foreign trade is the modification of the Incoterms . Technological advances, money laundering , anti-terrorism standards and some confusion in the use of terms such as FOB or CIF led the International Chamber of Commerce to issue the new Incoterms 2010 , which have begun to be applied from 1 January 2011 . These new Incoterms 2010 are more user friendly and avoid many misunderstandings in the business community .
